  • Converts spoken replies into outgoing SMS text messages.
  • Forwards voice calls to the household landline.

How Amish Text Bridge works

1

A mobile user sends a text

A family member, neighbor, customer, or other approved contact sends an SMS message to the household's assigned Amish Text Bridge number.

2

The household calls in

The household calls the service from its registered landline and listens to received text messages through a simple phone menu.

3

The household speaks a reply

The household records a spoken reply, reviews the transcript, and approves the message before it is sent.

4

The reply is sent as SMS

The approved reply is sent as a text message from the household's assigned number back to the original sender.

Built for simple, practical communication

Amish Text Bridge is designed for households that do not use smartphones, web browsers, or mobile messaging apps. The household experience works through voice prompts, keypad input, and spoken replies.

Responsible messaging

K Tel LLC supports standard SMS opt-out handling. Recipients may text STOP to opt out, HELP for assistance, or contact support for service questions.
