Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern use of Amish Text Bridge, a telephone-to-text communications service operated by K Tel LLC. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Service Description

Amish Text Bridge enables landline-only households to exchange SMS text messages with mobile phone users through assigned telephone numbers. The service may receive SMS messages, store messages, read messages to the household by telephone, record spoken replies, transcribe spoken replies, and send approved replies by SMS.

User Responsibilities

Users agree to use the service lawfully and responsibly. Users must not:

• Send unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, deceptive, or fraudulent messages.
• Use the service for spam, unsolicited marketing, or bulk messaging.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent the source of a message.
• Attempt to access messages, accounts, or systems without authorization.
• Use the service in a way that violates carrier rules, telecommunications laws, or these Terms.

SMS Terms

Amish Text Bridge supports two-way SMS communications. Message frequency varies based on user activity. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile users may text STOP to opt out of further SMS messages from a specific Amish Text Bridge number. Mobile users may text HELP for assistance.

Consent and Communications

Users are responsible for communicating only with people who have a legitimate relationship with the household or who have otherwise agreed to communicate using the service. The service is not intended for unsolicited advertising, lead generation, or mass promotional messaging.

Voice Recording and Transcription

The service may record spoken replies and convert them into text. A household user may be asked to review and approve a transcript before it is sent as an SMS message. Transcription may not be perfect, and users are responsible for approving only messages they want sent.

Availability

K Tel LLC works to provide reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, message delivery, transcription accuracy, or telephone network availability. Service may be affected by carrier networks, third-party providers, internet service, equipment, maintenance, or events outside our control.

Suspension or Termination

K Tel LLC may suspend or terminate service for nonpayment, misuse, unlawful activity, abuse complaints, carrier compliance issues, or violation of these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, K Tel LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost messages, delayed messages, failed delivery, or service interruptions.

Changes to These Terms

K Tel LLC may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
